Fall Registration

Hello and welcome to all dancers both new and returning! Classes begin Monday September 10th.

Classes are grouped according to ability. This ensures that new and returning students will be able to find a class best suited to their needs. In order to achieve this goal, all students age six years old and above will be placed in the proper level after taking the required audition placement classes.

If dancers are not able to attend any of the registration times listed below, these dancers will be placed in a class (possibly in a lower level class) for the first week to complete a teacher evaluation.

Please print out the registration form, waiver of liability, class rules and attendance contract, and the photo consent form and bring them to your scheduled registration time. This is required for all returning and new students.

New Students ages 2 ½ to 4 and Returning Students from Creative Movement I & II and Introduction to Dance I & II do not need to participate in the Audition/Placement process, but do need to attend one of the times listed below.

Monday, August 13th, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 14th, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 15th, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

New Students ages 6 to 7 do need to attend one of the following Registration Audition/Placement times listed below.
Returning Students from Introduction to Dance I & II and Pre-Ballet/Tap I & II do not need to participate in one of the Registration Audition/Placement times listed below but do need to attend registration.

Monday, August 13th, 5:00-5:45 p.m.
Tuesday, August 14th, 5:00-5:45 p.m.

New Students ages 7 to 9 do need to attend one of the following Registration Audition/Placement times listed below.
Returning Students from Pre-Ballet/Tap I & II and Level I & II & III classes at the time of the Spring Recital do not need to attend one of the following Registration Audition/Placement times listed below but do need to attend Registration.

Monday, August 13th, 5:45-6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, August 14th, 5:45-6:30 p.m.

New Students age 9 to 11 do need to attend one of the following Registration Audition/Placement times listed below.
Returning Students from Level I & II & III classes at the time of the Spring Recital do not need to attend one of the following Registration Audition/Placement times listed below but do need to attend registration.

Monday, August 13th, 5:45-6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, August 14th, 5:45-6:30 p.m.

New Students ages 12+ do need to attend one of the following Registration Audition/Placement times listed below.
Returning Students from Level III classes will remain in the classes enrolled in at the time of the Spring Recital and do not need to attend one of the following Registration Audition/Placement times listed below but do need to attend registration.

Monday, August 13th, 6:30-7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 14th, 6:30-7:00 p.m.

Returning Students from Level IV & V classes at the time of the Spring Recital will remain in the same classes and do not need to attend one of the Registration/Audition Placeement times listed below but do need to attend registration.

Monday, August 13th, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 14th, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 15th, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Class Descriptions

Creative I is designed for the new dancer ages 2 1/2-3 who are potty-trained. This class is .45 minutes in length.

Creative II is designed for returning Creative I dancers and new students ages 3-4, and introduces tap as an incentive. This class is .45 minutes in length.

Introduction To Dance is designed for returning Intro. to Dance students and new students age 4-5. Students must be able to skip. Intro. to Dance is one hour long and consists of ballet and tap. Students can spend 1-3 years in Intro. to Dance.

Pre-Ballet/Tap is designed for the returning dancer ages 5-6 and new dancers up to age 7. Pre-Ballet/Tap moves at a faster pace and prepares dancers to enter into Level I classes. These classes are 1 hour and 15 minutes long and include ballet and tap.

Primary Ballet/Tap/Jazz is designed for the returning dancer ages 6-7 and new dancers 7-8 years old. Primary classes are .45 minutes in length and is the next level before the Level I classes. Dancers must take all three dance disciplines.

Level I & II (Ballet/Tap/Jazz/Hip-Hop) is designed for returning and new dancers age 7-12. A dancer can be enrolled in these classes from one to three years depending on the ages and ability of the dancer.

Classes Start Monday, September 10th.

During the entire month of September, the staff reserves the right to adjust placement and move dancers to different levels if needed; this ensures a quality learning environment for all students. This pertains to the students that attended the audition/placement classes as well as the dancers that did not attend the audition/placement classes and is not limited to the age or class level of the dancer.
